It is a compact prime lens, which delivers impressive results from a versatile full-frame 35mm equivalent focal width. This makes it a classic choice for daily shooting and as a slightly wide standard lens for a host of subjects, including street photography, portraits and travel.

With a bright f/1.4 aperture and 9-blade rounded diaphragm you can separate your subject from distracting backgrounds and create stunning bokeh effects. The lens also produces sharp, clear images even in challenging backlit environments and low light, thanks to the inclusion of several special glass lens elements with a bright aperture.

Sigma has also included a fast Stepping Motor, which is compatible with high-speed AF technology and you can switch between linear and non-linear focus with the L mount version.

This Sigma lens has been designed exclusively for APS-C format mirrorless cameras, resulting in a compact, lightweight lens weighing around 340g. It features a quiet, high-speed stepping motor that is able to lock onto subjects quickly and can be used with Leica L compatible camera AF modes such as focus tracking and eye detection.

The large focus ring can be used to fine-tune focus with Dynamic Manual Focus (DMF) and the prime also supports switching between linear and non-linear focus, when customised with the optional Sigma USB Dock for L-Mount.
