3 Legged Thing's Nicky is a hybrid photo-video tripod with 2 plate options – Flat plate and 75mm Bowl mount. Nicky can hold up to 60 kg / 132.2 lb yet weighs only 2.40 kg / 2.29 lb giving him an impressive 25:1 load-to-weight ratio. Nicky has been engineered to support DSLRs and larger video cameras, making this the ideal tripod for landscape photographers and videographers. The maximum height of this tripod is 1.56 m / 61.41 ” fully extended and can reach as low as 12.4 cm / 4.88 “, with legs at 80˚ using the flat plate.
The use of twist locks makes deployment quick and easy. With its three detachable 4-section legs, Nicky is more suited to travel, as with the canopy separated from the legs, it can fit into most carry on luggage. For additional attachment of accessories, Nicky has a 1/4”-20 screw thread on the side of the canopy. With the legs detached and the addition of optional 3LT footwear, Vanz (sold separately), Nicky can also be used as a table-top tripod.
Like other tripods in the Legends range of 3 Legged Thing Carbon fibre tripods, Nicky has the Rapid Latch to enable quick and easy changes of leg angles, even while wearing thick gloves. The O-Pads which are inset into the legs locks give users greater grip, leverage and water displacement.
